Pastor Nick Roberson"I do it all for the sake of the Gospel..."
1 Corinthians 9:23a Some things are significant enough that we'd do what it takes for the sake of making it a reality. Connections with our friends, family, spouses and children are significant...so significant that we do what it takes in giving up time and convenience for the sake of enriching our relationships with people whom we love. Finishing a marathon is significant... so significant that many do what it takes with training and a healthy diet for the sake of being strong enough to complete the event that is why Jesus did what it took for the sake of the gospel. So that means for followers of Christ who enjoy the riches of the gospel, we do what it takes for the sake of the gospel. And proudly, I believe that this has been a hallmark that has filled our short history together as a church. I also believe God has a new step for us to do what it takes for the sake of the gospel. This step involves making the gospel more accessible and more winsome to people in our area over the long-term. This step, therefore, is not primarily about Burning our Church Mortgage. It is a step toward a greater vision of touching more lives with the riches of the gospel and what Jesus has done for people! Our vision establishes a foundation in Powder Springs. This enables us to launch efforts in our region where we can do good without strings attached, build trust with people in our communities and point people to Jesus. The vision is to become a permanent part of the community so that we can touch lives with the gospel. I support Calvary Mortgage Burning Vision and pray that I may give Generously. Lady Pam RobersonPsalm 118:1 Oh give thanks unto the Lord for he is good,
because his mercy endures forever. Calvary Christian Ministries is the place to be. What a mighty God we serve!!! As Calvary Christian Ministries begins our mortgage burning campaign, destroying the spirit of debt, Jesus will continue to be glorified and magnified. Our ministry will be able to continue to spread the gospel reaching those outside of the four walls of the church. How awesome it is to meet someone and share Jesus with them. The word says that we are to be witnesses spreading the gospel which is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ to those that are lost, ministering to those that need to be healed, encouraged, and delivered. We will continue to be servants to the community, offering computer training for seniors, GED training, and Literacy Advocacy, to name a few. The goal is big, but our God is so much bigger. Join us and donate to our mortgage burning campaign what an awesome event to participate in. In His Service, Pam Roberson |
Sister Rolena Horn-Bynoe2 Timothy 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began Jeremiah 29:11 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Family and home is where the heart is and when you have the Love of family, you have a gift from God. You can’t make it through most obstacles in life without the love of family. The love of your family is like a safety net you can fall on for support. Calvary is the definition of family, when you have a life changing experience Calvary is there, when you just need someone to pray for you Calvary is there, when you are in need Calvary is there, when you need a word from GOD to sustain you through life’s trials Calvary is there. The reason I am supporting Calvary in this mortgage campaign is to help in spreading the Love that I have received from Calvary. In burning this mortgage Calvary will be able to carry out the plan God has for this great community of Powder Springs, Georgia. There is a blessing in giving and seeing how your giving has changed lives and a community. |
Sister Kia RobersonCalvary Christian Ministries means so much to me so I plan on being a blessing to them as they have been to my family and myself; I want to help with Calvary's Mortgage burning because I want to keep the church standing strong and to take away any burdens off of the pastor and first lady. When I first came to Calvary I knew I walked into something special and believed from that moment on a changed was coming into my life. I was on a path of not knowing what I wanted out of life and hadn't had any spiritual guidance. I went to a mega church but hadn't received the truth that I needed. During the first year of going to Calvary I got saved in February and received the Holy Ghost in July and I feel now I know what I want out of life, what I need to do to get there, and I have truth in the word. Truth is what Pastor preaches on every Sunday and teaches every Wednesday and I don't know where I would be without it. I thank and praise God that Calvary came into my life, and I thank and praise God for my husband who invited me to Calvary's watch night service in 2010 because from that moment on I found another home, a church home.

Sister Jocelyne MichelCalvary Christian Ministries means to me: sound teaching of the word of God, friendship and where you can be yourself. It is family oriented and a place where you feel loved, as well as a place where you feel accepted, which is how Jesus would want his children to feel. I am participating in Calvary Christian Ministries Mortgage Burning to put less stress on the pastor, and to use the money that would be used for the mortgage toward community outreach and other ministries.

Bro. Geremy RobersonI am giving to the Calvary Mortgage burning to free up funds, so that there will be extra funds to use to go towards the community and the youth of tomorrow. We will be able to use the funds that are currently going to the mortgage burning to change the community and continue to bring more unity in our community, by having events that will reach out to the youth so they will not have to be on the streets or at home with nothing to do.
